Industrial Visit Jaisalmer

The Department of Business Intelligence at BKSPMS, Gujarat University, recently organized a
significant Industrial Visit to the Stone Mining and Crafting Industry in Jaisalmer. This hands-on
experience aimed to provide students with a holistic understanding of the stone industry, covering the
entire spectrum from mining processes to intricate crafting techniques and the complexities of export
procedures.

Jaisalmer's unique distinction as the exclusive source of Sand Stone globally added a fascinating
layer to the visit. Students not only explored the geological aspects but also learned about the
distinctive property of Sand Stone, which remains cool by absorbing moisture. Furthermore, the
visit offered valuable insights into the operational intricacies of stone crafting and exporting.
