The Department of Business Intelligence, B. K. School of Professional and Management Studies, Gujarat University organized an NSS Orientation Programme to create awareness among students about the objectives, activities, and significance of the National Service Scheme. The programme aimed to inspire students to actively participate in social service initiatives and contribute meaningfully to community development. The session was conducted by Dr. Natvarlal Verma, Head of the Department and Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology, who was invited as the guest speaker. During his address, he highlighted the crucial role of NSS in nurturing social responsibility, leadership qualities, and a spirit of volunteerism among students. Dr. Verma also shared valuable insights on community engagement and encouraged students to take active part in NSS initiatives. He discussed innovative ideas for social change, the concept of village adoption, and the importance of organizing NSS camps as platforms for experiential learning and community service. The programme served as an inspiring introduction for students, motivating them to engage in meaningful activities that promote social awareness, civic responsibility, and nation-building.
