Industrial Visit Image Gallery
The Department of Business Intelligence recently had the opportunity to visit the Tata Chemicals Training Center in Mithapur, Dwarka, a facility dedicated to empowering rural communities through vocational education. The center offers a range of courses aimed at skill development in various fields, including computer, fitter and fabrication, welding, domestic electrician, beauty and wellness, and fashion and technology. The center also runs one-month short-term programs under the NAB Skill initiative, specifically designed for rural residents. These programs focus on career building, placement assistance, and fostering entrepreneurship. By serving 42 villages through door-to-door mobilization and counseling, the center ensures that these valuable skills are accessible to those who need them most. Participants undergo a training model that blends 30% theoretical learning with 70% practical experience, enhancing employability and practical knowledge. The training center also provides women-oriented courses, such as Beauty and Wellness, Fashion and Technology, and Computer Science, in two shifts: a morning batch from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and an afternoon batch from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Men-oriented courses, including Electrician, Fitter, Welder, and Solar Technology, are offered as full-day programs, providing comprehensive exposure to hands-on training. This visit not only allowed our team to witness the impact of skill development on rural livelihoods but also highlighted the importance of teamwork, leadership, and exploration. Through such industrial visits, our students were able to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, while learning about the importance of leadership in community empowerment. The Tata Chemicals Training Center is not only preparing individuals for placements but also helping them establish their own businesses, making a significant impact on the lives of rural families.
